Michael J. Flanagan, M.D.

Michael J. Flanagan, MD, urologist Dr. Flanagan is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology (board certified). He is the medical director for the urology practice and is a sub-investigator for Connecticut Clinical Research Center. He graduated from Clark University in Massachusetts, then attended the UMDDNJ-Rutgers Medical School in New Jersey where he received his M.D. in 1985. He served as a general surgery resident at Waterbury Hospital for three years, and then completed four years of specialized training at Temple University in Philadelphia where he served as a chief resident in urology during his last year.

Dr. Flanagan joined Urology Specialists in 1992 and brought with him his expertise in urologic cancer, stone disease, male infertility, and pediatric urology.

Joseph P. Antoci, M.D.

Joseph P. Antoci, M.D. Dr. Antoci is the medical director for the Connecticut Center for Continence. Dr. Antoci is also the principal investigator for all studies that are related to incontinence, and is a sub-investigator for other research studies at the Connecticut Clinical Research Center. He graduated from Manhattan College in the Bronx, New York, then attended Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., where he received his M.D. in May 1977. He served residencies in general surgery and urology at Yale - New Haven Hospital. In 1984 he became a diplomate of the American Board of Urology (board certified).

Dr. Antoci merged with Urology Specialists in 1989 after seven years of solo practice. He has pursued the care and treatment of incontinence and launched the state's first incontinence center.

Dr. Antoci served on the National Association for Continence task force which was instrumental in writing national guidelines for continence care at assisted living facilities. As a recognized leading expert in the field on incontinence treatment, he was also invited by WOCN (Wound, Ostomy & Continence Nurses) and SUNA (Society of Urological Nursing Association) to testify April of 2000 in Baltimore, before the Medicare Executive Committee meeting. Dr. Antoci testified to the efficacy of pelvic floor stimulation and biofeedback as bona fide treatments for incontinence. As a result, Medicare approved both of those treatment modalities for coverage.

Dr. Antoci is a full active member of the Society for Urodynamics and Female Urology.

York P. Moy, M.D.

Dr York P Moy, urologist Dr. Moy is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology (board certified). He is a graduate of the Yale University School of Medicine. He did his general surgery residency and urology residency at Yale - New Haven Hospital and was a research fellow at the National Institute of Health, Department of Pharmacology.

Dr. Moy's research background includes Department of Molecular Biochemistry and Department of Urology at Yale University. He also has experience at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, 1985 to 1988. He won the Westinghouse Science Research Award in 1985 and the Pfizer Scholars in Urology Award in 1988.

Dr. Moy has written and co-authored several papers including: Nitric Oxide Synthase in Human Prostate Cancer Cell for presentation at the Clinical Society of Genitourinary Surgeons in 1999, Hormonal Induction of Nitric Oxide Synthase in Human Prostate Cancer Cells for presentation at the American Urology Association in Dallas in 1999, and Alteration of Ligament Viscoelastic Properties with Repeated Sub Injury Deformation submitted for publication in 1998 to Yale Medical School, Dept. of Orthopedic.

Dr. Moy sees patients with all urological complaints and offers a specialty in pediatric urology. He performs laparoscopic surgery and pediatric microsurgery, as well as minimally invasive prostate surgery.

Stephen B. Siegel, M.D.

Stephen B. Siegel, MD Dr. Siegel is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology (board certified). An honors graduate of Duke University and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, he completed his general surgery training and urology residency at Yale - New Haven Hospital. He comes to Urology Specialists after having been in private practice in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Siegel has experience with prostate cancer, brachytherapy and minimally invasive incontinence surgery. He has had an active practice in all areas of adult urology including no-scalpel vasectomy.

Dr. Siegel has been actively involved in patient education through programs in urinary incontinence, prostate health and cancer. This commitment has included television appearances and frequent lectures.

Anthony Kim, M.D.

Anthony Kim, M.D. Dr. Kim is a graduate of Boston University School of Medicine and performed his general surgery residency and urology residency at Yale - New Haven Hospital. While at Yale, Dr. Kim had extensive training in pediatric urology, laparoscopic surgery, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, vasectomy and minimally invasive procedures. Dr. Kim has expertise in adult and pediatric urology.

Sagar M. Phatak, M.D.

Sagar M. Phatak, M.D.

Dr. Phatak joined the practice in 2007 after completing both general surgery and urology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He has spent time involved with research during his residency, spending time as a research fellow at the Urologic Oncology Branch of the National Cancer Institute studying new imaging techniques in prostate cancer detection. Much of this work was presented at the 2004 national American Urology Association meeting in San Francisco. In addition, he has published literature on newer techniques in treating interstitial cystitis. In his practice, Dr. Phatak has special interests in urologic oncology, laparoscopic procedures, stone disease, and pediatric urology.

Robert A. Feldman, M.D.

Robert A. Feldman, M.D. Dr. Feldman is medical director and principal investigator for the Connecticut Clinical Research Center's Urological Research Studies and is medical director for Urology Specialists, PC. Dr. Feldman has many years of experience in the field of research including numerous publications and has conducted Phase II and III clinical trials for urologic diseases and disorders. He was named in Connecticut Magazine as one of the best physicians in Connecticut, June of 1996.

Dr. Feldman is affiliated with Waterbury Hospital and St. Mary's Hospital in Waterbury, Connecticut, as well as with the Yale - New Haven Hospital, where he is also a faculty member of the Yale University School of Medicine.

A graduate of Brooklyn College in 1962, he attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine. His post-graduate training included a surgical residency at Boston City Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and a urology residency at Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Feldman was also chief resident of aerospace medicine with the U.S. Air Force at Dyess Air Force Base in Texas.

Dr. Feldman is a diplomate of the American Board of Urology (board certified). He is an active member of several professional organizations including:

Lisa Oliveira, APRN, MSN

Ms. Oliveira, the Continence Program Specialist for the Connecticut Center for Continence, graduated from the St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in 1986 where she received her diploma in Nursing. In 1995 she graduated from Central Connecticut State University where she received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing. She recently earned a Masters of Science in Nursing, through the Family Nurse Practitioner Program, at Central Connecticut State University. She joined Urology Specialists in 1996 and brings with her an extensive background in homecare and continence promotion.
